25-Seven Systems becomes an Axia Partner
– Livewire®-enabled Audio Time Manager to be demonstrated at NAB –
Boston (March 20, 2007) 25-Seven Systems Inc. (www.25-seven.com)
has become the latest professional broadcast equipment company
to implement the Livewire IP-Audio standard for delivering studio-quality
audio over Ethernet. 25-Seven Systems will introduce Livewire
compatibility for its award winning Audio Time Manager time compression
processor at NAB 2007, demonstrating both audio and transport control
over IP.
“The Livewire IP audio network is groundbreaking technology. We are excited
to partner with Axia on integrating our products, and developing for this platform” said
Geoff Steadman, president of 25-Seven Systems Inc. “Axia’s approach
leverages the technological breakthroughs of the leaders of IP networking and
computing appliances. In discussions with the folks at Axia, it was apparent
our companies share a common vision about what the future of audio transport
and control looks like. It’s a great fit for us.”
“We’re happy to welcome 25-Seven Systems as an Axia partner,” says
Axia president Michael “Catfish” Dosch. “Broadcasters
are becoming increasingly aware of the many advantages of networked studios.
Tighter integration of broadcast equipment is just one of those advantages,
along with ease of connection, data consolidation, and the ability to use standard
Ethernet for audio routing. As equipment manufacturers continue Livewire implementation,
even more broadcasters will enjoy these advantages.”
25-Seven Systems joins a growing list of Axia partners (www.axiaaudio.com/partners/)
offering products that integrate with Axia IP-Audio networks. Axia
networks are now in use in over 400 broadcast studios; Axia products include
a family of microphone, analog line and AES/EBU “audio nodes” and DSP
mix engines, routing control and administration software, and the popular
Element™ modular studio console.
